You can make a retreat here
a retreat for whom?
We welcome individuals as well as couples or groups. However, we cannot offer food and shelter for tourists, for overnight guests or for pilgrims seeking a stop-off point: we are neither a hotel nor a restaurant, and an overly brief stay would harm the peaceful climate of the guest house (it is easy to find other lodging near the abbey).
The guest house numbers 40 rooms and can accommodate up to 50 people, but we usually do not have more than 30 guests.
Groups of young people with group leaders, capable of their own house-keeping, can be housed with a certain autonomy in an annex house (30 beds in a dormitory).
How to make a retreat?
The length of stay is from 2 to 7 days, with the possibility of coming 2 times each year.
The cost for the monks comes to 41 € per day per guest. Each may pay according to ability, either more or less. For students and unemployed, 25 € seems to be a reasonable price. If you have difficulties, it is good to talk to the brother guest-master. Our guesthouse, entirely renovated in 2006, is comfortable and silent. Various places are wheelchair accessible. Since this work brought about some significant costs, we count on the generosity of our guests to help us. If you are able to, please bring sheets and towels (if not, include an additional cost of 4 €).
In order to respect our guests in their search, we ask that each person:
In the course of their stay, guests have access to a small library and a prayer room specifically for the guest house. A section of the grounds is accessible to guests. If you want to speak with a brother, make your request beforehand with the brother guest master.
Retreats are not guided.
